About The Speaker
Malek Maazoun
Malek Maazoun is the founder and CEO of COART, a coworking space dedicated to creative freelancers, associations, and artists in the city of Sfax, Tunisia. Malek is also an IT engineer and musician in the band, Nostalgia. He is passionate about cross cultural collaborations and is president of Artists Without Borders, a cultural association which organizes international artistic residency exchanges between Tunisian and foreign artists. Malek believes that his work contributes to democratizing access to creative industries in the marginalized areas of Tunisia.
